    strawberry jam

I pity the fool who left halfway during Humanities in Celebration. The first three plays were indeed [can be improved], but the last three are awesome.

The Cube is one heck of a surrealistic play. This guy gets stuck in a cube, and people constantly harass him and make fun of him with telephones, traps, and confusion. Eventually, it is revealed that you can make things out of strawberry jam. The guy eventually gets out of the cube and sees a psychiatrist. I kinda expected the "two monks pushing him back" part though.

Souffle was comedy gold, with lotsa references and whatnot. "Get out of my leet, uncaring face" was used quite perfectly. I think that Avery guy was the most sane of all the characters, heh.

The last play had an interesting topic about identity. Somehow I immediately understood that first scene that Tom was online. So eventually, the online identity replaces the IRL identity of Tom. I was expecting hikikomori withdrawal or transendence into the internets; I was disappointed.

So yeah, at least half the class missed out on the good parts. I laff at you people.

    Capacity

As much as people wish for it to happen, computers don't have infinite storage space. Hence, I had to remove my hoard of Hayate eps. Oh wells, Eclipse never takes down their stuff anyways. If I want them I'll acquire them again. (Which I'd never do really. It's like Washizu with the end game privilage but never using them.) Besides, the manga has less contemporary parodies and such.

Why do I hoard them anyway? There's this mentality that "oh, maybe I'd like to marathon through them again some day", but the only one I've done so with is Black Cat, because it's awesome. There's also the possibility of showing them to others, but that rarely happens too. Anyhow, this hoarding, causing lack of free space has left me in despair!

Hopefully I'll be able to buy the DVDs, then I can hoard them without straining my C drive. Then I'll go end up in debt or something. D:

"Hey, at least I passed Chem."

Having peers passing time with you is a good way to relieve the despair and stuff from test (results).

    Onisarashi-hen

At ComiCon today I found the set of Higurashi sidestory manga, which had a label "Not for people under 18" on them.

It passed through the cashier. Wow, do I really look that mature? (...I wish.) The cashiers just scan and package stuff like factory workers. :V What if a little kid of around 7 thought Negima was like, a totally cool mage with equally cool magic and bought the manga? Oh wells. (No, I'm not targeting Negima specifically, just using it as an example, because I don't really come in contact with those more non-worksafe stuff.)

Onisarashi-hen is not restricted because of content like in Negima, no matter how appealing Natsumi's armpits are on the cover. Heck, they're not even visible. Let's just say that it's your typical Ryukishi07 Higurashi story.

The scary part is not all those dismemberment, stabblings and Nice Boats, however, it's when someone's perception does not tally with reality due to her mind's denial while she Nice Boats her entire family.

This made me think somewhat about people who suddenly Nice Boat others for no apparent reason. This covers many cases across history, which everyone knows a few of.

What if the perpetrators have lost touch with reality, with their paranoia and L5 leading them to commit such acts, while in the meantime they were thinking that things happened differently? In the beginning of Onisarashi-hen, the perpetrator was originally shown to be Natsumi's mother, when in reality it is otherwise. Only at the end did Akira reveal what he has found out from Oishi and Akasaka.

Then again, what exactly is this reality? Is it a shared consciousness between everyone? If so, those who are generally perceived as crazy and lunatic may actually be in their own world literally. (i.e. not figuratively) It's just that everyone else perceives those people as not being in our consciousness.

Losing touch with the shared consciousness may be good for you if you might want to either be in wonderful dreams or be in denial from "reality", yes, but it definitely does not benefit the society if you Nice Boat them. So yeah, while we are still in society, it is good to stay sane.

In my opinion, this manga set is very thoughtful and great. (Another word for Nice is Great) If you can handle such subject matter, go ahead and buy it. The cashier at ComiCon won't stop you! XD lol j/k (But don't tell them that, or they'll be more vigilant and I won't be able to buy this kind of great stuff in the future, heh)

And yes, I should have been doing my Math.

EDIT: Just found out that HiguKai is cancelled. Refer to my above point that Nice Boat doesn't benefit the society.

    Good listening.

Yay, like last year, I'm blogging more when I'm not supposed to. :V
I'm just going to keep editing this post instead of posting new stuff until the end of those blurdy exams.

Chinese paper is a gone case, already vented in class so it would not be nessacary to rant here again. El compo and IHC were...bearable.

Ok, I'm going to post here the music I would be looping on the comp as I "work". They are usually not very intense songs, and won't result in finger-tapping spasms or singing-along if listened to (which would definitely lead to more lost "productivity"). Try them out if you want.

    31/9/07 - Rothschild Rh- (anNina)
This song is very soft, suitable for playing in the background. The lyrics are not very audible most of the time, so you could relieve the boredom of mugging without being too distracted. (Other factors inducing procrastination might still persist though.)

1/10/07 - Chinkon Shiyou (ALI PROJECT)
ALI PROJECT's songs always have an aristocratic feel to them. This one sounds straight from a theatrical performance. If you loop, it doesn't really get annoying either. Keep the volume low and work can be done. Speaking of which, I'm going to do my IHC revision now, bai~

    2/10/07 - Tabibito (Ikeda Ayako)
All 3 of her songs I listened to induce a kind of a nostalgic feeling. I attribute it to the emotive vocals. Not too disruptive, as usual, although there was one time where I started tapping my foot. I don't have a lot of calm-ish music in my acquirement, it seems.

    3/10/07 - Musou / Musou [Arrange] (dai)
The individual tracks were quite short on their own, so I'm looping both of them at the same time. dai is awesome. These two tracks have a majestic tone to them, yet fresh at the same time. It's a bit powerful though; I caught myself whistling to it.
I have come to the conclusion that the amount of distraction a song has depends on its volume. (Captain Obvious has spoken!) Really, dai is awesome.

4/10/07 - Japanese Saga / A're no Kodomo / Yoru no Hatoyama o Tobu (ZUN)
My computer's CD drive died a long time ago, and being overprotective of both the book and the CD anyways, I acquired the files off somewhere. These songs are neither calm (FM synth are based on lots of distinct beats) nor non-disruptive (but hey, it's Physics tomorrow). They give impressions of the past starting with the late 20th century onwards.
