And so I got Netkaei 0.20 to play around with. I think I made a random guy in China quite frustrated, most probably going "darnit why is the other guy still not connecting on PoFV i'm waiting sheesh". That would be because I don't know how this thing works and I thought that the timeouts and disconnects (?) on the status window meant that my match request didn't go through.

 

It looks like Netkaei is like just a list of people waiting for someone to netplay them and sets the IP.txt accordingly when someone wants to play with them. (How do those people host? What happens when someone makes a request to play?, and other questions still float around in my head.)

 

...all these when I should be finishing homework and NOT pissing random people on the internets by being a clueless noob clicking around buttons with text I'm not really proficient in.

 

EDIT: Did I hear a Vista-able Caster?

The Live Spaces team just patched up stuff that are missing previously when Tweak UI got taken down. So it's okay now I guess.

 

They also added custom background images. That I have only a problem with. Where's the option to make it stay in place when you scroll, instead of the usual repeat-y? (refer to: Xanga background image system)

 

Oh, and that young people would abuse it so their spaces become a pain to look at, which I don't really mind anyways.

Whoa. I actually managed to finish my homework efficiently. That's a first.

 

And so, the boarding school stay was over right under my eyes. There are many experiences I shall list out.

 

Firstly, there is the entire forced study session almost every day. They practically force you into the dining hall and ask you to study quietly. But hey, it works. They (albeit artificially) created a suitable environment to study, and I could actually concentrate on the homework instead of being distracted by random stuffs. Most of the time I managed to finish my homework during that two hour stretch.

 

So with all homework finished, we can sleep early right?

 

The urge to play denys it. Small bunches of people stay up at night to spam random games, ranging from a "DotA LAN shop" in a room, to various stuffs in the study room. Weirong and I brought some Stepmania, causing Lester to play alot with people like me, Kai Li, Wei Rong, and Nel. However, I sometimes get ostracized because they think I'm too pro. :V They have not seen Dale yet, yo. Wait until I can pass any song from KBMP, then you can call me pro. -_-

 

The other game(s) I brought would be the Touhou series. PoFV is out because of the requirement for a full keyboard. So I brought PCB at first, then IN and EoSD. Also: IaMP. The general skill level of my friends would be Stage 2 (PCB), Stage 4 (IN), Stage 2 (EoSD). People seemed to be obsessed with the phrase "Supernatural Border" though... Qi En was going Battle Network-referencing mode with the constant "SP version!". He also favours Remi because of vampires in general, lawl. ^^;

 

Kai Li showed Battle Network to everyone. Shawn and Han Yong generated some interest in BN6 Greiga and started playing it. Shawn gave the impossible challenge of fighting Greiga with only a Lv 1 attack buster.

 

The next thing there is to talk about would be the laundry. There are various laundry rooms situated in specific locations, one of which I only use. I shower after the study session, and if there is a huge load of unclean clothes, I'll go to the laundry room to dump the load. But, it takes one hour to wash/dry. And twice the laundry room had to close on me before the drying is done. So I had to pick my stuff up at 5 in the morning. Huzzah.

 

There was plans to start a dojin circle, but the urge to play buffers the success of it. The circle never made it past the planning section.

 

Benjy wanted to buy a pink skirt for Wenhao on his birthday. Hmm. I suggested throwing in knee socks as well, which he didn't. We lured him into the study room (now more like a general multipurpose room) and celebrated his birthday. Hmm.

 

Another event was that Shawn suggested to pool our money and buy some pizza. Which we did. The delivery person said that he could only arrive 40 minutes before the study period, and people wondered whether they could finish it in time.

 

We cleared everything within 10 minutes.

Lastly, on the survey form's last question, "what have you gained/not gained from this experience", I went ahead and wrote 'I have not gained もえにほんこうこうしょうじょう as acquintances.' It was immediately crossed out.

 

Meanwhile, I cleared some of my stock of unwatched anime, and Code Geass is becoming more like Gundam at the moment. STOP FLYING IN TEH SKYYYYYY Also, I received spoilers on the Euphie scene, but still went :V as it happened.
